Monday Question

How much exercise do you get and how often do you get it?

Pocket, when we get a walk it is for around 20 minutes.  Our walks depend on our weather.  In the summer we can get walked every day.  In the winter months, we are lucky to get a walk a week.  But we aren't' breeds that need a lot of exercises so we're good.

Comments

  1. We now live on a street where there is a lot of foot traffic. We work very hard to keep the mail carrier, delivery people, school children and the undead from invading. It wears us out.

  2. we have two long and one short patrol... but in summer we will do much much longer walks for 2 or 3 hours... or more if the staff has that power (probably not lol)

  3. Our walks and seasons are a lot like yours, Pocket and River. We know on days that Mom and/or Dad are home we get to go for a walk right after lunch, and when it's still daylight right after dinner too, especially if they weren't home for our lunch walkies. xox Lucy and Xena

  4. We always have a rip n' run play session every evening so that's lots of exercise!

  5. Because of my humans and their knee problems I haven't been on a walk in a long time. But I have a big fenced yard to run around in and chase those rotten squirrels.

  6. We walk most every day as long as it isn't bitter cold, icy, or pouring rain. Mom takes Lightning first for about 15 minutes - he tires out quickly after his surgery. Then Misty and Timber go with Mom for 30-45 min. We really miss it when we don't get our walkies.

  7. In summer, because of the heat we usually get an early morning walk and sometimes an evening walk....depends on the heat. Then we go to the river with other dogs for about 2 hours on the weekend and public holidays. This time of year, we sometimes have more river time, and get one or two other walks during the day. The rest of the day, we have to RACE out to bark at people, dogs, cats, delivery people etc who come too close to OUR property. (It's school holidays at the moment, so we go to the river EVERY morning.)

  8. We run in our yard every day. We go out about every two hours and sometimes we just wander, other times Mom organizes games. Sebastian gets long walks about five days a week. Syd and Mack need the most exercise and they run like crazy dogs all the time. The Porties are all old now and don't need as much exercise as they used to. Mom lets them decide.

Bishop Arrives at Rainbow Bridge

The ground shook, the wind bent the trees, and a tremendous howl arose amongst the angels. It was clear that something big was crossing the river:  Czar Bishop had come to Rainbow Bridge. The Czar, son of Miss  Kimberli, brother to the legendary Apollo and Napa, had used every heartbeat and more as he fought to stay with his mom and continue teaching all the orphaned dogs that his mother took in and found new homes for them to live.  When word spread of Bishop's arrival, dogs came from every corner of the Bridge to pay homage to him and greet the incredible dog who inspired his mom to save many other dogs. Bishop also helped his mom create one of the most entertaining Facebook profiles. Transcribed were the conversations between Bishop and his mom ranging from the new students two what he needed at the store. Few dogs have been blessed with a bigger heart than Bishop. He had his collection of pets he doted
