Do you wear anything on your feet, or put anything on your paw pads to help with the winter cold and ice,
Our answer? Nope, not us. My parents tried in on Foley once. They put boots on her feet and she pranced around like a pony. They never tried again.
That's a big nope! We cocker spaniels (at least in our house) don't like anyone messing with our feet, let alone making us wear shoes. Even good old angel Joey dog, the most mellow cocker ever, hated to have his feet touched.
ReplyDeleteNope, we never go out so thankfully we don't need anything!
ReplyDeleteWe never get winter ice or snow so there is no problem.
ReplyDeleteWe had threats when we get burrs in our feet, but as we cannot walk or move if we have a coat on, we don't think we have to worry.
ReplyDeleteI do have a pair of boots, purchased a few years ago when I was having a lot of problems with my front paws. They only come out now when there is a nasty mix of snow and ice and grit on the pavement. No snow this year so far, so thankfully the boots are still in the cupboard.
ReplyDeleteToodle pip!
Bertie.
PS Gail says: I had to look long and hard before finding suitable footwear for Bertie - there are a lot of useless boots being sold, which either fall off or fall apart or make the dog fall over...
No. No reason to, and we would hate it anyway. Xox Xena and Lucy
ReplyDeleteOh you made my mommy smile!
ReplyDeleteWe tried with our Little Bit and that didn't work. She wasn't going for it one bit.

Some of us have worn boots because of injuries but we don't get a lot of ice and snow here. We do wear sweaters or jackets because we do get a lot of cold wind.
ReplyDeleteVideo of dogs or cats who hate their booties always makes me LOL!
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year!
Hi hi hi! Ojo here! Cobi sometimes has a problem with her paws. This happens only when there is hoarfrost on the ground. She stops and holds up her paw(s) and cannot move. She says they hurt. When this happens our people put bright pink booties on her feet. The she stops and holds up her paw(s) and cannot move. She says the booties feel weird. So there is no winning, except not going walking when there is hoarfrost! (This is lame, because I'm not a wuss like Cobi and I can walk in hoarfrost!!)
ReplyDeleteMom tried to put boots on Lightning so he wouldn't keep breaking his nails since he drags his back legs, but he was so unsteady that she had to give up. No boots for any of us.
ReplyDeleteWoos - Lightning, Misty, and Timber
Nope...We have a stroller for days(or places) where it is too hot to walk and we don't have to worry about salt/chemicals here cause we don't get too much ice or snow :0)
