This is an excerpt from Pocket’s soon to be released best selling book “Going Rougff.” When I announced my candidacy for the Senate people...
Pocket: Weddings always mean we are going to be alone for a long time. When my skin brother got married Foley and I were alone from 9:00 AM to midnight. When Mommy's niece got married in New York we were alone from 5:00 AM to 8:00 PM. That is River's longest time alone.
ReplyDeleteJust when the peeps were commuting to work, so about 10 hours max!
ReplyDeletecan we say with all honest tee uz catz due knot noe how ta tell time but we think itz been like 5 yeerz...seemz like ☺☺
ReplyDeleteMany years ago when both Mom and Dad were working, we would be home alone for up to 7 or 8 hours. But now it is rarely more than a couple of hours. And seriously for the most part someone is almost always home.

Maximum 10 hours. In the old days, The Hubby and I would leave on Saturday morning to eat breakfast at a local place, then stop to wash our laundry at the laundromat. We'd be home in the early afternoon, but once, Celestial Angel was locked in a closet that whole time...but she didn't make a mess, and simply slept.
ReplyDeleteArty and Jakey have been left alone for 8-10 hours or so when Mama used to work...But since we moved to California, it's usually only 6 hours if they have to go shopping.
ReplyDeleteOh, I thinks maybe 6 hours. And the whole time I am on high alert for Ma's return BOL!
ReplyDeleteKisses,
Ruby ♥
Hmmm, I'm alone a few hours a day since Dou crossed the bridge, but the peeps eventually find their way home.
ReplyDelete2 hours... and to the great surprise of the staff there was jo mischief LOL
ReplyDeleteWhen Gail was working, on the very rare occasions when neither my dog walker nor a neighbour were available, I might have been left nine hours. It was a bit boring, but I coped. (I've never been the anxious type).
ReplyDeleteNow I'm used t having her around all the time, I almost enjoy having the house to myself for a few hours if she goes off for a bike ride with her pals.
Toodle pip!
Bertie.
When Mommy couldn't take us to work with her, it was 7 or 8 hours at a time -- forever!!
ReplyDeleteOne time we were gone most of the day. She didn't like it one bit either.
ReplyDeleteHave a fabulous day. ♥
Since Dad is retired, he's almost always home. But the longest time both he and my ghostwriter left me alone in the house (that I can remember) was when GW got her knee replacement last December. They made sure Jason (sibling #4 of 4) came and to keep me company as soon as he got done with work.
