Monday Question.

How many pets, including dogs, cats, small animals, reptiles, and birds have your parents had?

Ruby's Answer: I think between two sets of parents that the number is 20 pets in all.  I am the heir to all of them.

  1. Lets see now, Petcretary & Pawpy together:
6 kitties, three doggies 4 goldfish, and 2 temporary pups...for about 6 weeks each...
Petcretary growing up: 2 doggies, 2 canaries, 2 budgies and at least 2 goldfish.
    Pawppy growing up:
One kitty, three Scotties and their offspring while they were with their moms...and for a while, Falla, the famous pup who portrayed the real one in a movie about Roosevelt.

We have had seven doggy cousins as well.

  2. If we consider her years as an independent adult the answer is two - Hamish the Westie and my WFT predecessor Bouncing Bertie. As a child Gail was never allowed a dog (much to her regret) but there was Nibbles the Dutch Rabbit, and most notably Arthur the Guinea pig, who lived to the grand old age of eight.
    Toodle-oo!
    Nobby.

  3. oooh we think about 15 dogs, a horse, a sheep, berds and guines pigs, bunnies, fishies and a cat...and a deer and a wild boar...

  4. No reptiles or birdies. Mom had three little turtles and some goldfish when she was a kid, and 2 dogs. Then a horse. Then about 4 cats and 8 or 9 dogs, maybe more. Oh yes, and 2 guinea pigs and their offspring! Oh, and there was that bunny they rescued from being someone's meal, then released in the spring only to be caught and eaten by their friend's St. Bernard.

Bishop Arrives at Rainbow Bridge

The ground shook, the wind bent the trees, and a tremendous howl arose amongst the angels. It was clear that something big was crossing the river:  Czar Bishop had come to Rainbow Bridge. The Czar, son of Miss  Kimberli, brother to the legendary Apollo and Napa, had used every heartbeat and more as he fought to stay with his mom and continue teaching all the orphaned dogs that his mother took in and found new homes for them to live.  When word spread of Bishop's arrival, dogs came from every corner of the Bridge to pay homage to him and greet the incredible dog who inspired his mom to save many other dogs. Bishop also helped his mom create one of the most entertaining Facebook profiles. Transcribed were the conversations between Bishop and his mom ranging from the new students two what he needed at the store. Few dogs have been blessed with a bigger heart than Bishop. He had his collection of pets he doted
