Monday Question

How did you make out with the fireworks?

Did you a lot?

Did they bother you%?

Ruby’s Answer - we nary had a firework. Our local fireworks at the stadium were canceled because of the World Cup. Yay World Cup

  1. Lucky you, Ruby! Hopefully, you don't have to pay up with fireworks this coming weekend. We did fine and it was because of all the rain. We'll be paying for this - you can be sure!

  3. It's quite funny to realize that we don't even have a TV at home to watch the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Instead, I've been keeping up with the tournament by watching the highlights on YouTube.

  4. Unfortunately Ruby we had fireworks Friday night with the boat parade on the lake. Even though we don't live close we could hear the noise like it was in the backyard. And Saturday night was the regular community fireworks! Thank goodness it's over. Until New Year's and then it happens all over again.

  5. No fireworks here in Malaysia-- the Fourth of July isn’t celebrated, so our weekend skies stayed quiet. The only “fireworks” were the usual evening lightning flashes during our tropical storms. Honestly, I didn’t mind at all; the calm was nice. 🌩️✨

  6. Storm delayed (hide from thunders) ... fireworks start (muted by heavy cloud cover, mist and more (a small hide from that) ... YAY! No big bang theory this year ...

  8. Our fireworks were the worst in the 31 years we've lived in this location and our crew was scared out of their minds.

  9. I can get a bit anxious - so Mom may offer some calming treats -
luckily this area is in a BURN BAN so that reduced the booms a bit - although Mother Nature had some shows of her own -

  13. Ms. Frizzle the yellow lab was OK but wanted to cuddle quite a bit during the noise pollution. Lucy the basset hound buried herself under a mountain of blankets to feel safe.

  15. We had plenty of them but they were decently far enough away not to disturb Katie. We have a noise machine in the bedroom...so that helped.

  16. Mommy forgot to give us our CBD oil on the 4th, and she laid in bed expecting me and Lucy to start shaking any moment. We fooled her and totally ignored the noise! XOX Xena and Lucy

  18. I didn't set any off as I was sitting inside on the couch with Falcor. They don't bother him as long as he's inside when they go off and he has a blanket to hide inside. There were so many going off all over my neighborhood though.

  19. Mudpie is never bothered by our town fireworks, but at 2:30 in the morning on the night of the 4th someone nearby was setting some off and she was terribly frightened by them.
