How did you get your name:
Pocket: When I came home with my parents as a puppy I was so small I could fit into a pocket and that is how I became Pocket Dog.
River Song: I have two reasons for my name. The first is after a character from the BBC series Dr. Who. The second is from this lyric from the Van Morrison song Crazy Love
"I can hear her heart beat for a thousand miles
And the heaven's open every time she smiles
And when I come to her that's where I belong
Yet I'm running to her like a river's song"

The Ruby Rose Report: Stinky Unwashed People
I prefer a house that is quiet, and since my parents are wildly unpopular it is always silent here, since the only people who come over are ...

Are you a trip hazard? Have your parents ever tripped over you? How often? Did anyone get injured

This is an excerpt from Pocket’s soon to be released best selling book “Going Rougff.” When I announced my candidacy for the Senate people...
I got the name Brian from my rescuer because my mellow purrsonality reminded her of her friend. When I was adopted my name stayed with me.
ReplyDeleteWe love your names.
ReplyDeleteLightning - because he is all white, like a bolt of lightning. And it probably helped that we already had a Thunder:)
Misty - because her fur is like a mist over the white and in keeping with the weather theme.
Timber - who knows? Dad is a tough one to agree to names, but this one Mom and Dad just liked.
Woos - Lightning, Misty, and Timber
My momma wanted another -ley name (she are Kimberley and my predecessor wuz Whitley). She and her momma wanted rhyming names, so they settled on Kinley and Brinley (which also rhyme wif Finley). Kinley means King's Meadow, which are pretty similar to what Kimberley means (from da royal fortress meadow). And she liked dat it wuz a K name.
ReplyDeleteI got my middle name (Arielle) from da Little Mermaid - it are one of momma's favorite names and Whitley also had a French middle name that ended in -elle (Michelle).
I've got the name from my breeder... she always picks the name after she saw the people who pick up a puppy... she thought it fits to the staff... and I think she was right ... althought for the M-year Menace would be a good name for me too hehehehehe
ReplyDeleteI've just always been Chester. No rhyme or reason.
ReplyDeleteAngel Bailey's name came from a dream mom had. She dreamed she would name him Bailey's Irish Cream. When Hazel came along she thought about another cream - she loves Hazelnut creamer in her coffee. So her name is Sophia's Hazelnut Starbaby. Sophia for her pug mom and she was called Star before mom decided on Hazel. When I came along mom tried to come up with a TV name since my pug parents were Jerry and Eilene (we assumed from Seinfeld) But no one could agree on one. Mom likes old fashioned names and everyone liked Mabel. My official name (Maybe She's Mabelene) is a play on the Maybelline cosmetic commercials.

Hazel & Mabel
I'm Xena after - yes, you guessed it - Xena the Princess Warrior. Mommy wanted to give me a name to live up to, and Daddy thought it was a great name for on our Angel Lexi's blog, too.
ReplyDeleteOur pawrents use to watch way too much TV when Arty and Jakey were adopted..
ReplyDeleteJakey(who is really named Jacob) is named after a character on the TV show Lost
Arty is named after a character on the TV show Warehouse 13
I, Rosy, am not named after anyone. Mama says Angel Dory whispered my name in her ear a few days before they came to pick me up!
