Monday Question

Do your parents have a non-verbal signal to you to get you to come?

Pocket:  When my Dad slaps his thing three times we come running unless we have something better to do.

  1. Clapping the lead handles usually works....unless we've found something more interesting to do.

  2. That's a very good question. Usually a clap of the hands or a slight whistle they come back to us. Thanks for the share. Have a great day.

  3. The hand clap works here too, but a very sharp and loud "HERE" really does the trick.

  11. Mommy and I worked out two special signals to use during Freestyle. She tells me to "stay" and walks away from me. If she doesn't go but a few steps and wants me to walk or trot up to her, she keeps her hand at her side and wiggles a few fingers. If she goes further and wants me to come full speed, she still keeps her hand at her side, but uses her wrist to make a forward motion with her whole hand, and I run lickity split up to her and we keep walking. It sounds complicated, but it's really very easy! xox Xena
