Monday Question

 What is the protein in your food and treats?

Can Dogs Eat Cat Food?

Ruby's Answer: Lamb for my kibble, chicken for my wet food, and bacon for my treats

  1. LAMB ! I do the happy dance for my LAMB - and years ago when Mom made a leg-o-lamb in the crockpot for TADN for Mother's Day, NAK sat and watched the counter - and Mom had to be very careful taking the plated LAMB to the table!

  2. I'll eat anything, well, almost. Extra protein comes from the occasional (unwelcome to Mom) bug that crawls in from the hallway, yum!

  5. We're all about the beef in this house! Most of our treats are liver but we're not sure whether they are beef liver or some other meat.

  11. Ruby, Da Boyz and Henry get a mixture of roasted turkey, tuna, and wild gamebird, with various fishy stuff tossed in.

  12. Timber eats a sensitive stomach kibble, z/d, and we think the protein comes from hydrolyzed chicken.

    Misty is a real problem when it comes to food. Right now she is on a special diet called Ultamino. The main protein source is chicken feathers - that's right - chicken feathers. They are VERY high in protein but the body can't process them as feathers, so in this kibble they are very highly hydrolyzed. It doesn't solve her inflammatory bowel issues, but at least it keeps her from having chronic diarrhea.
