How do you act when your parents return home?
Pocket: I am in my crate. I bark, and when I am let out I run around their feet sniffing them.
River Song: I wait by the kitchen window. When I see their car pull into the driveway I put my head back and howl. Then I go to the front door and jump up and down. When they get inside I need to be touched. Then I pant for half an hour because I am so excited.

Are you a trip hazard? Have your parents ever tripped over you? How often? Did anyone get injured

This is an excerpt from Pocket’s soon to be released best selling book “Going Rougff.” When I announced my candidacy for the Senate people...
we jump around like beans when the mama comes back and we try to eat her ... if our dad opens the door we give intruder alert immediately... and then we enjoy how pixxed he is that we treat him like a stranger LOL
ReplyDeleteIt is like a three ring circus when Mom and Dad come home. All three of us are right at the door as they try to get in and disarm the alarm. At the same time they have to try to block us with their knees so we don't race out before the garage door closes:) Then the fun begins.
ReplyDeleteLightning does a big song routine for them, wooing up a huge storm, giving them a calldown for being gone for so long. Timber races around the room with a toy in his mouth. And Misty follows Mom from behind hopping along with her two front paws on Mom's back. It really can be a wild scene.
Woos - Lightning, Misty, and Timber
Our house is a bunch like the Woos. Jakey hears the garage door and starts howling and jumping up and down at the door...we(Arty and Rosy) jump off the bed and race downstairs to get attention.
ReplyDeleteMama and Daddy say we are crazy dogs!
xoxo,
Rosy, Jakey & Arty
Misty: I watch the clock. When it is time we all march to the door and give her a rowdy greeting.
ReplyDeleteTimmy and Chamois: We do what Misty tells us.
Most of us run to be the official welcoming committee!
ReplyDeleteSometimes we open one eye. Unless we’ve been in the kennel, then we go wild!,
ReplyDeleteI wait until the last second, no point wasting energy but as the door opens I go mad weaving in and out of the peeps legs then dash upstairs for a TREAT and cuddle on the landing!
ReplyDeleteLoves and licky kisses

We always hearing a howling song when we come home from work. Then we have the running around for a good five minutes. Thanks for the share. Have a wonderful day.

When my ghostwriter comes home from work at the regular time, around 11:45pm, I'm usually waiting by the door, yipping anxiously. If she works overtime and doesn't get home until 4am, I don't even budge from the couch! But I give her a look that says, "you've got to be crazy working that late! Harumph!"
ReplyDeleteI bark and then when they let me out of my crate I run and grab a toy and run around with it. If Hazel is awake she barks excitedly. Sometimes she is sleeping sound and wakes up several minutes after they come home and gives them a "oh your home" look
ReplyDeleteWe jump around and bark a lot.
