Monday Question
On Wednesday night I injured my trachea, was coughing, and spitting up foam. My parents thought I had injured my trachea and would be fine over time, but the more I coughed the more worried they became. They decided to take me to the emergency vet knowing it would cost a lot of money. In the car, I stopped coughing but they still took me. So here is the question: Would your parents have taken you to the vet or waited to see if you got better and at what point do your parents decide to take you to the emergency vet?

That's a tough one, but Mom says if you know your dogs, then you will just know when it is the right time to go to the ER. We are very happy that your parents knew just what to do for you. We also hope you are healing well.

We agree with the Woo's. Your parents knew that you needed to see the ER Dogtor. We do not have emergency vet clinics here. The vets at our clinic take turns being on call. We have the emergency cell number and whoever is on call will meet us at the clinic if we need them
ReplyDeletehope you are doing better

the mama is a howl-i-copter mama and as soon as something is wrong we are on the way to the vet... but fortunately we can call the clinic and we can send photos of weird looking outputs, so the vet makes the decision if we have to come or if we are still on da safe side... the staff is over-sensitive after the horrible night they lost Easy...
ReplyDeleteWe woukd fo on the the emergency Vet since it doesn't pay to take a chance!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, my mom would have taken us no matter what, you have to be around mom to understand mom. We are glad you are much better. mags
ReplyDeleteOnce we embark (hehe) on a course of action we see it through.
ReplyDeleteWe would have gone to the vet anyway!
ReplyDeleteIf it's something new, we always head to the doctors.
ReplyDeleteMy Mom would have done the same thing, especially after the other issue you had. Sometimes it's better to have it be a false alarm then too late to fix something serious.
