Moving Day

I want to announce I may not be around for a few I want to announce I may not be around for a few days because we are moving on Tuesday to a deluxe apartment in the sky (actually the second floor).

Mommy is going to need some senior services and that is one of the reasons they are moving. We want to keep ahead because she is a senior apartment renter turning into her even more senior parents.

I have been there twice. There are two living room windows I can look out of that overlook the putting green and pickleball courts. I plan to do a lot of barking to upset their concentration.

My parents are looking forward to not being responsible for all the appliances breaking down, or shoveling snow. They will miss the gardens but Mommy could no longer care for them.

One thing I did not like in the new place is the little room in the lobby that goes up and down. I am not used to a moving floor.

I am hoping to have many adventures there all of which I will report to you.

The next time I talk to you will be from the town of Foxboro MA.

Until then I wish you all the best. because we are moving on Tuesday to a deluxe apartment in the sky (actually the second floor).

  1. All will be well and good and wonders-full, Ruby. Me and mine Mommy live in one of those (up a little bits higher in the sky), I meows at the fly-by birdies and you can bark at them! No worries unless they barks back. And that elly-bator will purrably have a lady you never can see her with a whiny-voice that will talk and tell you whether you're going ups or downs (just not sideways), don't be ascared of her, she never comes out of hiding. We missed our garden too, at first but now we look at pictures of pretty flowers and mine Mommy's knees don't hurt to do that and her fingers don't hurt pulling weeds which is better for her. And she says cause there are lots of other like senior peoples here we all gots lots of things we can complain about together and understand each other and yes, when the refrigerator isn't cold there's a nice man named Maurice who comes right away to fix it! And it's free for him to fix it, too. So remember Ruby, it is happy days ahead for you and your Mommy and your Daddy. Life changes and a lot of the time it changes for the better. Meow.

  2. I hope the move goes well for you and your parents. It will be exciting to see things from higher up. June is right, the lady in the elevator will stay in hiding, but you might sometimes get friends from other apartments joining you.

  14. Lulu: "You are moving on up? To the East Side? We hope it all goes smoothly and that you enjoy your new deluxe apartment in the sky!"
Chaplin: "Dennis told us all about those boxes that go up and down. He called it 'the room wot moovs' and did battle with it several times at his chiropractor's office. But since yours goes up to the deluxe apartment in the sky, I bet you will get used to it a lot faster than Dennis did."

  15. Happy Moving Day! Your peeps will love all the conveniences of not having to do all those outside chores.
You, Ruby will soon get used to that 'moving box', and it is the key to the outside world for when you go out for a stroll and other business.
We bet you'll have lots to woof about next time you post your thoughts for us.

  16. Angel Lexi: Ruby, I want you to know...that little room is called an elevator. If you stare at the metal circle in the center as it moves, everything will be ok. If you don't see the metal circle, just stare at the doors. That will make them open for you to escape.

  18. Hope you love your new place! I have always wondered what went through my pups head when we got on the elevator. Our last apartment had one. We just moved into a new place and had the cabinets refinished so my dogs have been spending a lot of time in the backyard which I think they have been loving. Can't wait to hear about your next adventures!

  20. Good for your humans to move to someplace with a few less worries! And we are sure you will figure out that moving floor! (Rosie is jealous because she would love to have fewer stairs to climb!)
