What is the worst thing that happened to you this weekend?
You don't have to answer. It is just a set up to say what happened to me this weekend
Sunday morning we had a fright, At 4:00 AM Mommy got up to go to the bathroom, stood, got dizzy and fell. Daddy couldn't pick her and noticed she was slurring her words so he called 911’ I was shut in the bedroom as men arrived and took my mommy away. Daddy left too. They were afraid she had a stroke. After several hours of testing my mom was a clean bill of health. They think she may have had a reaction to medication. My parents are home but tired.

I am so very glad to hear your mummy is okay and didn't have a stroke. It must have been scary hearing all the drunk soccer fans noise too.
ReplyDeleteThank goodness your mom is okay, Ruby! Why do scary things always happen in the early morning.
ReplyDeleteRuby Rose you be sure to tell your mommy that we hope she gets over this terrible event very quickly. And they find out what medicine did this and maybe they can change it to something better. Sorry you all had such a scare.
ReplyDeleteI am so relieved to know that your mom is OKAY!! Had to LOL a few times when I read 'It sounded like David Tennant was in the next bed swearing up a storm. ' You know that I love David Tennant :-))
ReplyDeleteOh my - we bet all of you were scared - we are relieved all turned out okay as NAK was there when TADN had one of those nasty stroke things and she never got to return home -
ReplyDeletePlease take good care of HER!!!

Java Bean: "Ayyy, that's very scary for sure! The noisy ambulance and the people coming into the house and taking your Mommy away sounds like a bad dream!"
ReplyDeleteLulu: "We are glad she is home and all right and it wasn't a stroke! And we are sure that whoever the Tenth Doctor was cursing at, they deserved it."
How scary, but I'm glad mom is okay.

Goodness Ruby Rose that was horribly scary and concerning to Dad and bless your heart you. Very very thankful all is well. Medications can cause crazy reactions. I've been having issues with my left shoulder. My pcp sent me to a Shoulder Doc. Xrays determined I had arthritis and some inflammation. I was put on Meloxicam (first time I ever took it). I have tinnitus horribly lo and behold Meloxicam intensified it 10 fold and all that buzzing made me dizzy. I called doc immediately was taken off it....still have shoulder issues I will go back Thursday for cortisone injection.

PS sorry for being so chatty
Sorry to hear this and glad she is okay. Were they Scottish fans? My god we do like to have a drink haha!! I don't I'm tee-total but drink way too much coffee.
ReplyDeleteWell my weekend was okay. Monday was one of the worst days of my life. My Jethro passed away. Never felt pain like it. I miss him so much :-( He celebrated his 16th on Friday there.
I am sorry to hear about this and I am glad she is alright. The worst thing that happened to me over the weekend was the heat and humidity...seriously. I cannot handle that type of intense heat.
ReplyDeleteWhat a scary night that must have been. I'm so glad your Mommy is OK. Please give her a big hug from me. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad that you're alright. That must have been scary.
ReplyDeleteYikes! Medicine can do odd things, although sometimes we need to take it anyway.
ReplyDeleteAlso, I am praying she fully recovers and this doesn’t happen ever again.
DeleteI am glad your mom is OK.
ReplyDeleteWow! That would have scared me pretty bad, too if that had happened to my hubby. I'm so very glad your Mom is OK.
