Monday Question:

How many vets have your parents taken their pets in the last 25 years and if they left the practice?

You don't need to count emergency vets

Ruby's Answer

Norton Animal Hospital: Left because of long wait and chaotic waiting room.

Bridgewater Animal Hospital: Left because there were too many clientele and little personal attention.

Middleboro Animal Clinic: Great vet but he retired

Raynham Small Animal Clinic: Vet bragged about Millie Bush's vet, picked up Foley by her back legs to examine her, insisted on dental work which was booked eight months out.

Rayham Aniaml Hospital: The worst. My parents brought their three year old Papillon Jax to them. Jax was in terrible pain. The doctor said it was a pinched nerve. Three days later Jax went to the Bridge. A judge found the vet negligent but my parents lost on appeal to the lying jerkface.,

Dighton Animal Clinic: A very nice doctor but she only worked part time and at a hospital the rest of the time

Taunton Animal Hospital: Been then for eight years and so far are happy with the vet and staff

  1. Taylor veterinary hospital and now Monte Vista Animal hospital. We were happy with both. Happy Day and week. ♥

  2. Over the years, our peeps have used many different clinics depending on where they were living - Massachusetts, Kansas, Connecticut, then back to Kansas. They only changed vets two times. Once when the vet totally missed diagnosing eye problems as indication of kidney disease in their beautiful Golden Retriever Ginger. She died two weeks after the change when the vet there immediately determined that the eye infections were due to skin and fur rolling from her head to her eyes from muscle tone loss caused by advanced kidney disease - too late to save her. The second time was leaving a vet practice that they loved and had used for almost 25 years but were not treated very well with that whole horrible situation with Misty back in 2020. We can't imagine her ever leaving the practice we use now.

  3. Gosh, too many to count, seriously. Probably 30+. I've fired five Vets in the last 3 years due to their lack of compassion and only focusing on money.

  4. Hmm...about nine vet offices over the years.

  5. Way too many. They seem to either get bought out by VCA ( which I detest) or close.

  6. We have been pretty lucky and have only had 6 vets in the last 25 years and 3 states we've lived in.

  7. Maggie went to the same vet all of her life. Mitch started with a different one and changed to the same one that Maggie had. Molly started out with a different one and changed to the same vet as Maggie and Mitch and I Duke am going to the Northford Vet - same as the others!

  8. Since our parents have lived in the same house for 35 years they've taken all their pups to the same vet clinic. The original vets have retired but the new ones have been just as nice. Lately we've had an at home vet come for routine things because Walter gets over stimulated at the vet.
