Prince and Rosy are our October 8, 2017 Pups of the Week

When Cappy arrived at Rainbow Bridge, I explained how every part a dog loses, like hearing or vision, reaches the Bridge, and we keep it safe until the day comes when the rest of the dog arrives, and everything becomes whole again.  We got a short black leg this week with no name attached.  I got on the computer and searched my friends, and I learned that leg belonged to my friend Prince.
Poor Prince had contracted cancer and had to lose his leg to keep cancer from spreading and taking his life.  Prince was more than happy make this sacrifice.  Truthfully, we dogs would exist as just a head on top of a beating heart if that meant more time with mom.
Sadly, this sacrifice came with post-surgical pain.  Little Prince lost his front leg and shoulder during surgery.  He did a lot of crying the first few days.  Prince’s mom got his medication increased, but every time she lifted him to help him go potty she hit a sore spot.  Her heart broke for her poor little gentleman.
Three days later Prince had fought through the pain and was standing on his three legs.  The pain had lessened a great deal, and Prince was more relaxed.  A few days later he was walking around the house without pain.  He is going to need prayers as he learns to be a tri-paw, but we are sure this Prince of a Dog will be triumphant.
The second pup we recognize this week came to her new home with the help of a lot of angels.  Rosy, an adorable Lhasa Apso, is now a member of Blogville’s Da Db Boyz joining Arty and Jakey.
Their parents decided on a Lhasa pup but were disappointed to see how few breeders there were in their area.  Having searched the entire Pacific Northwest the parents were about to give up their search until summer when they extended their search into Utah, Nevada, and Idaho.  The Idaho Pug Ranch’s parents joined in their search, and the Boyz’s angel siblings Dory and Bilbo joined the Pug Ranch’s Angels Bailey and Greta to find the right pup.
Bailey and Greta found a Lhasa litter in Idaho.   They told Dory and Bilbo, who went to interview the pups to find the right one, and the Pug’s Mom, who emailed Dory’s mom to inform her about the litter.   The Boyz parents traveled to Utah to meet Rosy, her pup, and human parents, and Rosy, after a night at a hotel, arrived home.
Now Rosy has a new forever home, Arty and Jakey have a little sister, their parents will have their hearts rebuilt with the help of this adorable little girl, all thanks to online friends and determined angels.
May Rosy and Prince have lots of days, love, and memories with their pack and parents.

Pups of the week: Ruger and Pintus

Ruger

The handsome German Shepherd regally ascended on the escalator towards the spot at the edge of the cliff where I would give him the oath.  When he reached me he gave me a kiss on the head.  I began reading the oath.  Then I heard the sound of eight paws pounding the ground, quickly headed towards me.  I spoke faster, then even faster.  I had to get done before the big bodies attached to those paws arrived.

I got done and slipped away as the three German Shepherds collided with a roar that shook the mountains.  They wrapped their legs around one another and danced in a circle.  The clouds of sad tears caused by our newest member’s passing mixed with the Shepherds’ tears of joy.  Then the three boys turned, finally reunited, and ignoring everyone else, charged into the hills to run.

Ruger had joined his brothers Daddy and Taser at Rainbow Bridge.  The Shepherd brothers were together again.  As they disappeared up the hills, we could still hear their paws, and their hearts, pounding.  Their joy even touched my cynical little Yorkie heart.

But with joy comes great sorrow.  I could hear the sobbing on the mortal side.  While we were lucky to witness the boys reunited their parents could only use their imaginations to see them.  It will be a very long time before the boys and their parents are reunited.  In that time their parents will share love with a herd more of German Shepherds.

It was stage four kidney failure that brought Ruger to us.  His parents took excellent care of him before and after his diagnosis.  They gave him the loving home he had each day of his life, only more so.  But their beautiful boy only had so many heartbeats, and they finally expired.

How we wish their parents could see their three boys frolicking again.  They came running down the hill and then rolled on the ground nipping at one another.  A game of chase began again.  Daddy and Taser used their wings to fly leaving their brother on the cliff.  Ladybug flew over and attached Ruger’s wings, specially made by Scooby to match his brothers.  Ladybug was going to teach him, but Ruger did not have the patience.  He flapped, flapped, flapped his wings and then he took off to the skies and now the three brothers played in the sky, zipping past one another.  They put on a terrific show.  We gave them a long round of applause when they landed.

But they didn’t hear us.  The three of them were curled in a perfect ball around each other, sleeping.  Reunited at last.

By morning they would work out a schedule, so one of them was always with their parents, and around their little human’s sisters side.  And when their parents were sleeping, or the boys knew they were safe, they would charge into the hills, and then the skies to play.

Flying German Shepherd brothers are quite the sight to see.

Pintus

While we, and his family, had lots of time to adjust to Ruger’s arrival, Pintus came with little warning.  He had a seizure, and a short time later he passed to the immortal side, in his Mom’s arms, on his bed.

His sister Rain had arrived a short while before.  No mother should lose two children so close together.  Instead of the thundering paws of Daddy and Taser, Rain slowly trotted up to us. She knew how unprepared her mom was for Pintus' passing.  Before I gave Pintus the oath, I let Rain go to him.  They stood on their back legs and hugged for a long time.

Pintus and Rain had always gone together like peas and carrots.  It was hard to think of them separate,  It did all the Angels’ hearts well to see them reunited but we stayed silent respecting their shared sorrow.

Rain took Pintus by the paw and led him to me.  I grabbed his paw too, and I gave him the oath.  He repeated my words.  He seemed as stunned to be with us as his mom was that he was gone.  Rain saw how upset he was and she stayed near him through his wing fitting and his reuniting with the hundreds of dog friends he had here at the Bridge, and the other animals his mom had owned who he had never met.

I could tell that Pintus was anxious to learn how to ghost and dream visit so he could see his mom again but he has always been the sweetest boy.  He knew his friends loved him, and he spent time with each one, making every dog feel like they were his best friend.

When the long line of friends ended Rain announced that she would like to teach her brother how to fly.  Pintus learned very quickly.  Then, before we knew it, they flew together to visit with their mom.  Rain had done this multiple time before, but now she flew with a partner.

Like the German Shepherd brothers, Pintus and Rain have been inseparable.  They don’t play as hard as the boys (I don’t think I have ever seen Angels play that hard) but they do spend a lot of time together sharing memories, laughing, and talking about their favorite subject, their mom.

They have shown me that the River of Life, and the unbridgeable gap of being mortal and immortal cannot extinguish love.  It lives on in the afterlife and is lit a new when parties are reunited.

Every angel is filled with love.  It is majestic when we get to see the love shared with a family member.

Pups of the Week: Paco, Smoochy, Hannah Banana, Bella, Hattie Mae, Rabbit and Whitley

I am asking for prayers for some friends.  I am among an army of angels waiting to fly these prayers up to the Big Guy so pitch in with prayers for the following friends.

You should know Paco by now:  My dear Italian friend.  Last week I wrote about Kiera whose name, thanks to Angel Apollo, disappeared from my list of new Bridge members.  Paco’s name has not appeared on my list because Paco fights every day to keep his name off that list.
He has been suffering from serious respiratory attacks.  Poor Paco has gone through several of these in the last month.  With each attack his Mom becomes more concerned that she is witnessing his final breaths.  She treats him with Lasix which has stopped the attacks.  She just wants more time with her little man, and that is not too much to ask.  A little more time.  Please say a prayer that gets lots more days in the Italian sunshine.
This week we received a terrible shock.  Our friend Smoochy has bone cancer in his leg.  He is a big boy and the doctor does not think it is advisable to remove the leg.  So now his beloved Mom Kay must “keep him comfortable.”  She loves Smoochy so much.  (Everyone who has ever Smoochy feels the same way.  He is the Sweetest boy.)
I hate the term “Keep him comfortable.”  A parent always keeps us comfortable.  And no parent needs to be told to love their beloved pet every day, or to count every day as precious.  The doctor needs to say “go home and pray for many more comfortable days” and I ask you to do the same.  Pray for many more comfortable days for Smoochy.  His family and friends would have a hole ripped in their hearts if anything happened to him.  He  is one precious pup
.
Last night I found out that our dear friend Hannah Banana has to have a mass removed.  I don’t know where it is located, how big it is, or how serious it is.  I just know I hate to hear “has to have a mass removed” as much as “keep him comfortable.”  Hannah helps her Mom run the http://www.iloveyourdog.net/ page where you can buy, or gift, reasonably priced pet toys and home made treats and where Hannah and her Momma Kim give part of their profits to unrescued dogs.  She is the most special best friend in the world, warm and giving, and we need prayers that she comes through the operation safely and all tests come back negative.
Our wonderful friend Bella, who does such good work visiting the elderly every week and has so many humans who count on her companionship, is going through stomach problems again.  Last year she had to have emergency surgery because, after weeks of tests, the vet discovered that Bella had a bit of stuff bunny stuck in her intestines.  So far all her tests have come back clear but Bella is showing the same symptoms she showed this time last year and Mama Susan is very concerned about her baby and she would greatly appreciate your prayers, as would I.

Speaking of tummy troubles our great friend, advisor, fashion designer, seamstress and inspiration Hattie Mae has had tummy problems this week.  Her Mommy is hoping that it is just a food problem but whenever Hattie isn’t feeling well we put on extra angels because we know we are going to be overwhelmed with prayer requests and we encourage them.  We want Hattie to be 100 percent OK.
Angel Apollo’s newest rescue, a puppy named Rabbit, might have Parvo.  He has been with Apollo’s pack less than a week.  Once Apollo’s Momma Kim fosters a dog that pup becomes part of her family so Apollo needs prayers for a new family member.  I know you will come through.

Finally we must mention our friend Whitley from the Whitley Westie blog (http://whitleywestie.blogspot.com/)  Like many of our friends she has had problems with her legs lately, first her back, and now her front.  Her Mom had her outside to do her business.  She was wearing her sling.  While she was there a man drove by and saw her then viciously informed Whitley’s Mom that she should do Whitley a favor and put her out of her misery.   You can imagine how much that hurt Whitley and her Mom.   It makes us howling mad.  Whitley’s Mom shot back what she called some HBO words and good for her.  We need you all to send some hugs Whitley’s and some prayers that her legs get healthy enough that she runs down that man and gives him a good bite on the butt.

Pup of the Week: Messages From This Year's Angel Graduating Class

It has been a very busy week for us Angels.  We have been helping Santa prepare gifts for the shelter dogs.  After a long day I stopped by Otie Campbell’s ice cream shoppe in Mayberry for a hot fudge sundae.  Otie was polishing the counter when he looked up and asked me if I had picked a Pup of the Week yet.  Thankfully no pups had crossed the Bridge this week so I had not picked one. “How about you let the pups who have crossed the Bridge in the last year write to their parents.”
This was a wonderful idea.  First I am sure that parents would love to hear from their angels this Christmas seasons and second I don’t have to write a blog.  So I turned it over to the Angels.
Otis Campbell:  Hi Mommy and Daddy.  I know this is a hard time of year for you since I went to the Bridge a year ago.  But please know I am doing good.   I love working at the ice cream shoppe and I  am inventing all sorts of new ice creams.  You can’t believe what you can do with squirrels. I love you both very much and watch over you everyday.  I am so happy you have Briscoe.  I have taught him a lot.   I asked Mr. Springsteen to play Santa Claus is coming to town for you last night as a message that I love you. And I am trying to help the Steelers beat the Patriots.  Don’t tell Foley.   Please don’t be sad.  Enjoy your Christmas and give Briscoe all the love you gave me.
Brody:  Hi Mommy and my kids.  I miss you all so much.  Mommy you are doing a wonderful job with the kids.  I am so proud of the way they are growing up.  And I know Finley isn’t me but he is trying very hard and he is a good dog.  I know it has been a hard year but I do see better days in your future.  Know I will be with you every step you take.  I wish you could have seen my Christmas tree.  It was beautiful.  But I ate it.  I guess some things never change.  Love you.
Zoe Boe:  Oh Mommy did I ever pick the wrong year to leave you.  I was very proud of the way you fought through your illness.  I was with you through every appointment.  I wish you could have known I was there.  And I personally flew thousands of prayers up to the Big Guy from your family and friends.  I know you have come through this stronger and a better person, even though you were my favorite person from the first day I met you.  I love the artwork you have been doing and I am so proud of you.  I show it to all my friends.  I am doing some artwork myself.  I wish you could see it  I am sure someday you will but that is far, far in the future.  Keep living your life Mommy.  You have an uncountable amount of time left.  And I will be waiting.
Erin:  Hi Mommy.  You are doing a wonderful job watching over my pack.  I go into their dreams every night to make sure they are treating you right.  I am very busy being the tech consultant for every pup here at the Bridge.  You know how hard that can be.  I try to show the same patience and understanding that you have shown over the years.  You were truly an inspiration to me and others.  I love you and miss you Mommy.
Aran:  Hi Mommy.  How I wish I could be on our lap giving you sweet kisses right now.  (And how I wish I could be on a second honeymoon with my wonderful husband Wiley.)  I am so proud of the way you have given Chloe all your heart the way you gave it to me.  She is such a wonderful girl.  Don’t worry about me a bit.  I have lots of friends here who take great care of me.  Thank you for introducing me to them.  I would be very lonely without them. You are the sweetest parents in the world and I love you more each day.  Remember I am always near you and I come visiting as lots of tiny flying creatures.  Love Aran.
Max:  Dear Sweet Grandma and Grandpa:  Ladybug is right next to me and she wants to say hi and that, like me, she loves you very much and we are sending you 1,000 Angel kisses.  We love you so much and we know this has been a very hard year, especially for you Grandma.  We think, because you are so close to the Big Guy, that you feel our presence every day.  At least we hope so.  You keep your strong faith and keep believing and you will feel us with you.  We miss you everyday and we both love you.  You were the best parents and grandparents any dog could ever have.
Simon:  Oh my sweet Mommy.  How I love you.  For so long it was just you and me and we loved it that way.  But every story has to end.  At first I didn’t know why they had to end but now I know why they do.  It is so new stories can be told.  Next year I want you to start a new story.  A story with a new dog who you can give as much love to as you gave to me.  I will always love you Mommy and I will wait decade after happy decade for you.  You will lose lots of angels to the Bridge during that time because all their stories will end.  I will take care of all your angels and someday we will be forever for eternity.  Love you Mommy.  Now go make a story.
Blazer:  Hi Mommy it is me, Bazier.  That was your special name for me.  I have everyone call me that now because I like hearing it.  I am helping Judge Foley out a lot just like you asked me to do.  She is a wonderful friend and we snuggle together a lot.  I miss you more everyday and I spend a lot of time looking over you because I know you haven’t been feeling well lately.  I go to the Big Guy everyday and pray for you to feel better.  I know it has been a hard year Mommy but please remember your little Bazier will always be in your heart, and just like when you went out shopping I am now home waiting for you, but I want to wait for a long time because so many people love you and count on you so it’s not time to come home yet.  Look for me in your dreams Mommy.  Love Bazier.
Logan:  Hi sweet Mommy.  I am so proud of you for keeping the Labs together.  I know there are some new members but they aren’t like a rock band that keeps getting worse with each loss, you keep the band as strong as ever and that is because of the love that you show them.  We are up here teaching the Labs to do right by you, to keep you happy and to relieve your many stresses.  We know with the move and other things this has been a very stressful year for you.  We have run up the mountain with many prayers for a less stressful year for you next year.  We love you Mommy and we know you can always feel our love around you.

Reyah:  Hi Mommy.  I know how much you have struggled since I have gone to the Bridge  I miss everything about you and I know you feel the same about me.  It is easier for me.  I get to watch over you and you never get to see me.  That hardly seems fair but no one said life is fair (although the afterlife does bring justice.)  Keep going forward Mommy, one step at a time, one day at a time, it will get easier, and I will be walking with with you.  I know I am always represented on the mortal side of the River because there is a big piece of me in your heart.  As long as you are on the mortal side I will be too.  I love you.
Maya:  Hi my sweet Mom.  I am spending time with lots of our German Shephard friends.  It keeps my mind off of missing you.  I know that you have a lot of heartache about my passing.  Try to remember the good times in our lives.  I want to thank you for being such a great pup Mom.  I love you more than you know.  Merry Christmas.
Scooby:   Hello my wonderful parents.  Oh I miss you so much.  I love the Christmas tree you planted for me.  It makes me so proud.  And the memorial is beautiful too.  I am such a lucky dog to have such wonderful, caring parents.  When I couldn’t walk any longer you were my legs, you were my freedom.  And now that Odie has arthritic issues you are doing the same for him.  I don’t think two people could care so much for animals.  I am here now with Rusty and your other angels and we are sending all our love to you.  Enjoy your family at Christmas and know when you look at everyone sitting around your table that we are all gathered under the table at your feet.  Now I  am going running.  I wish you could see me run.  Love you.
Fonzie Tuxedo:  Dear Mommy:  I am here with our Heavenly Father and I am doing everything that he tells me to do as you would want me to do.  I do hope that the strong faith that you were blessed with has given you comfort.  You know I am never far from you and that we will be together someday.  I am trying to do good here, and to help all those doggies who don’t have homes.  I do believe that someday we will find homes for all dogs.  You have a wonderful Christmas Mommy. When you close your eyes know I will be there and that I will live in your heart forever.
Clint:  Hello to my wonderful parents.  I haven’t been here two months yet and I am still finding my way around but everyone has been very nice to me and they let me play with them.  We run and play for hours.  It helps keep my mind off of missing you.  I don’t much feel like doing anything for Christmas this year but my friends are telling me I have to do something.  You probably feel the same way but we have to keep moving forward.  I do wish I was there with you and I wish I could take the pain from your heart.  I love you more every day.  Let’s both try to have a Merry Christmas and know you are in my heart and thoughts every day
Smores:  It has barely been two weeks Mommy and Daddy.  I have been doing my Angel training and trying to get used to things.  I don’t know if I will ever get used to being without you and I don’t know if you will get used to being without me but I guess we will have to get used to it.  Try to have a good Christmas Mommy.  I promise I will too.  Hopefully by next Christmas things will be easier.  The one thing I have learned is, that, like me, all the angels here love their parents and they all want me to say a Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night.

The Three Little Pugs are our October 25, 2015 Pups of the Week

71479_358912937554100_45127384_n.jpg

I have three wonderful friends in Blogville. They write the wonderful  Three Little Pugs blog. Their names are Stella Rose, Angus Mac and Maggie Mae and man do they have troubles.

I know we all have troubles but the Pugs’ troubles have not just come in threes they have affected three generations of their family.  Let’s begin with the youngest.

This little cutie is Macey-Elizabeth Jean.  She is seven years old and she is a hero.  She has a rare illness called Lymphedema which only affects one in 740,000 children.  The condition causes fluid retention and tissue swelling in her legs.  The swelling can be painful and it interferes with some of her activities but she still dances, cheers, and proves that, with the right attitude nothing keeps you down.

The Pugs’ Dad worked in the warm weather out on the highway.  But in the cold weather he moved to what the pugs called “The factory from hell.”  The factory from hell indeed.  While I have never been able to uncover the exact details the pugs Dad had an unfortunate encounter with a 450 pound object which left the L-5 and L-1 vertebrae in his back broken and the L-3 shattered.

As you can imagine these injuries were very severe and the Pugs dropped from Blogville for a short time while their Dad recovered, moving from intensive care, where he gave everyone quite a fright when he developed, and successfully fought off, pneumonia, and then to skilled care where he received a brace he will have to wear for three months and extensive physical therapy.  As you can imagine all of this made their Dad quite crabby and when a human is in the hospital they tend to take out their frustrations on whoever visits them the most which, in the Pugs Dad’s case was their embattled Mom.  She hid her tears and put on her amazon warrior costume when she was with him.  She said she was hiding the fact that she was a mouse but she really seems like an amazon to us.

The days with their Dad in the hospital stretched onward.  The physical therapists tried to get him to climb stairs because he had to do that before going home but his pain level was too high.  The pugs thought they could put their Dad in a sleeping bag and drag him up the stairs but their Mom said no.

Their Mom had to order a walker, a shower chair, and a hospital bed, amongst other items, and get a room ready for their Dad’s return.

This week their Dad returned home.  He was slowly helped in the house by their Mom and put  in his chair where Angus immediately broke the no jumping on Daddy rule.  Dad was only allowed a short time in the chair before it was back to bed.  It will take up to six months for their Dad to be back to normal and he is going to need lots of prayers to get there and the Pugs’ Mom is going to need lots of prayers to help him without killing her.

I know you are thinking that no family could possibly bear any more pain but the Pugs’ family has more to endure.  Their Mom’s Mother, their Grandma, had been diagnosed with breast cancer.  She had an operation, took lots of drugs, went through treatments, went through cat scans and it looked like she was cancer free.

But the doctors examined 21 vials of her blood and they showed that she had high cancer markers which meant it was likely that the cancer would return, not just in the breast, but in the liver, brain, or any other vital organs.  The treatment plan for Grandma was followed to the letter.  Doctors promised that Grandma would be fine.  Of course there was a sight chance….there is always a slight chance.  And this time the slight chance paid off in all the wrong ways.  I could explain to you how this made the Pugs’ Mom feel but I will let her tell you in her own words:

“Tomorrow she starts her first round of chemo.  We really don't know anything more than that.  And if we did it probably would be incorrect...that is what I have finally figured out when it comes to cancer and the person we love.  Nothing goes by the book, nothing goes by what the doctor tells you, or the internet, or the pamphlets..................cancer is powerful awful stuff, and we are scared.  It’s our Mom and at her age, we want to protect her and make promises, that could turn out not to be the truth.   And then somehow we will have turned into the very things I am so mad at.  The liars.  Please pray for my Mom.”
Since then her Mom has gone through chemotherapy, and mother and daughter even went shopping for a short time, but Grandma soon became tired and had to return home.
There isn’t much us friends can do when multiple tragedies strike but our friends Hailey and Zaphod decided to gather some blogging friends together to send the Pugs some hugs using this picture.  If any of you would like to do the same go to http://stellroselong.blogspot.com/. and post the hugs image below on one of their blogs.
Hugs.png
We all have our crosses to bear but right now the Pugs and their Mom, and their Dad, their Grandmom and Macey-Elizabeth seem to be bearing a lot of crosses.  Luckily they have some brave and true Pugs on their side who have brought them lots of hugs and prayers.  Hopefully you will join in and bring health and peace to this wonderful family and their little dogs.

Those in need are our August 16, 2015 Pups of the Week

I look across the River of Life and I see many dark clouds hovering over my friends’ lives.  Clouds of despair.  Clouds of sorrow.

Over Enzo’s home in Colorado the clouds roll in then roll out only to be followed by darker clouds.  This year his wondrous gift of a Mom has lost her daughter, then she broke her leg, and recently lost her mother.  How much pain can one family endure?

Humans watch those big glass screens in their houses, or travel to theaters while we are left alone, to watch stories of despair, perhaps to try to connect them to their own lives, or to see those who have suffered worse. We don’t watch fiction much here, even though Wells and Hitchcock continue to make movies, and Twain and Shakespeare continue to write, and Tupac really does have a new CD dropping Tuesday.  With the threat of mortality no longer in question art loses it’s edge.  We watch reality.  Real reality not scripted reality.  There is nothing scarier than real reality.

There are so many stories, some have been told in secret Facebook groups, others general knowledge, that I get them confused, and I don’t want to break confidences so I will have to keep of those in need private.

Like those parents who have through no fault of their own, and the great fault of others, lost their jobs.  Humans become untethered when they lose their jobs.  They may hate their jobs but jobs gives them self worth and  purpose, not to mention money and health care.  At least three of my friends parents are desperately looking for work in this unfair careless world.  Please send them prayers.

And there are those walking with the spirits of the recently lost  Some of those spirits surround me now, constantly looking over their parents as they struggle with going on without their beloved little friend.  My friends reach out through dreams and spirit visits, never quite being able to touch those they loved.

There are others who have lost humans.  Some humans lived years, long rewarding lives leaving a tapestry of memories and fingerprints on everyone they touched and some, well one, only lived hours, precious hours before crossing over.  And we watch the pain, the sorrow and we wonder how do these parents go onward?

Then there are those sick.  Three of whom have cancer.  They are in different stages  Some contemplating treats, come getting chemotherapy, one waiting a bone marrow transplant.  All optimistic, all looking forward to tomorrow.  All walking with great certainty into a constantly changing uncertain future.

This is why we love humans.  Because in sickness and in health, good times and bad they, through unimaginable worry and sorrow, they keep moving forward.  And they deserve something wonderful, something precious, something that will love them unconditionally to guide them through the ceaseless hard times.

And that is us.

I just wish I understood why we don’t get more time.

Jax, Daisy, Chelsea and Frankie are our July 19, 2015 Pups of the Week

It has been a quiet week here at Rainbow Bridge which is a good week.  It has given me a chance to check up on the families of some of my closest friends.

Cooper has been looking for a new pup for his Mom since he came here.  After several meetings he chose Jax.  Jax is a loving, sweet, friendly dog who was in need of a good home.  He met all Cooper’s criteria.  Except Cooper never checked on destructiveness.  “Ooops,” Cooper said as he watched Jax destroy his Mom’s favorite pen,  electrical cords, clothes, and furniture.  Jax only needs some coaching to be a good dog and Cooper is willing to send Jax to his dream academy to hearn.  Jax  has the most important thing.  His Mom’s heart.

Being in our Mom’s heart is a wonderful place to be.  And we fill those hearts with joy but sometimes we fill them with sadness and worry too.  We never want to do it..  But it happens.

Our beautiful sweet friend Daisy has filled her Mom’s heart with worry and sadness when Daisy tore her ACL.  It is a nightmare for Daisy because no dog ever wants to do anything to give her Mom a seconds worry and for her Mom who is trying to decide if her baby should have surgery or not.   Please say a prayer for both of them, to help her Mom  make the right decision and for Daisy to heal.

Chelsea is another dog who showed trouble walking this week. She is like my Mom, like all of our Moms, anything wrong becomes a large concern.  Chelsea’s Mom recorded her walking, posted it, and got advice from friends.  She spent half the night sleeping on the floor with Chelsea until Chelsea was well enough to get up on the bed.  Saturday morning she took Chelsea to the vet who diagnosed her with a pinched nerve.  When Chelsea got home she wouldn’t eat but her clever Mom built a makeshift stand for her food, she ate, and she quickly improved on the medication.

Finally we must recognize our long time friends and top angel aides Max and Tupper.  They had been looking into getting their Mom another pup even if she didn’t know that she wanted one  They slipped into their Aunt’s dreams and told her about a Min Pin at a local rescue.  Their Aunt told their Mom who thought she would take a look.  There she met the dog Max and Tupper had found for her:  One look at Frankie was all it took.  She brought him home, helped him through his first thunderstorm and made sure he knew he was in a very special home.  The home of Max and Tupper.

So this week let’s say prayers for those who need it and welcome our new friends and pray for comfort for all our worried Moms and Dads.
