Monday Question

What Was Your First Day in Your Home Like?

11 comments:

  1. Pocket: My day was hectic. I got picked up at around 4:00, and brought home, where I met Foley, who gave me the stink eye, and then began to play with her toys. I ate all my food and peed on the floor, something I continue to do. I even got to sleep in the big bed. I knew I had a great home, even in Foley ignored me my first month.

River Song: One of our groomers went down to Florida because she was mating her boy with one of my kin, and she rought me back. My Mom picked me up at the groomers. I went straight to her. I recognized her right away. I met Daddy at his work, then I got home, and began acting like I owned the place. Pocket didn't know what to make of me so she just sat in her chair and watched me. It was a great day.

Foley Monster: I was picked up at a farm, and we went for a long drive home. I peed and threw up on both my parents. Blake greeted me very kindly, warmer than I ever greeted a sibling. I was about two pounds. My mom put me in a laundry basket while she went to the bathroom and I jumped right out. Daddy put me on the porch while Blake was peeing and I crawled through the trellis to see him. I spent the night in a crate by the bed but that didn't last long. I was soon comfortably sleepiing in the big bed.

  4. Lucy: I was already one and rescued off the street and had a terrifying ride to my new home in the seat of a truck. Once there, a man (my new Daddy) got home and looked at me and I fell to the floor in a quivering mass of dog jelly. He sat on the floor with me and told me what a sweet, beautiful girl I was, and pet me real gentle-like, and I realized right then that this was the man who would love me and be good to me forever - my forever Dad.
Xena: I was terrified riding for 3 hours in a kennel in the back of the car, and wet all over myself. As soon as we got to my new home my new Mommy put me in the tub, then brought me upstairs to meet everyone else. Daddy held me while Lucy gave me a warm greeting, and Riley cussed and left the room.

  6. When Celestial Angel and Chuck arrived, they were wee kittens, and we carefully kitten-proofed everything. They tried to hide under the bed at first.
When Da Boyz arrived, they were curious and investigated EVERYTHING.
For being an outside cat, Sweetie's first time inside the house was surprisingly quiet; she used the litterbox, checked out the rooms, and found a comfy beddy to curl up in!

  8. I will answer for Angel Madi.
Within in 5 minutes of being here all 2 1/2 lbs of her had conquered the stairs up and down. Walked around the house meowing her approval or disapproval and then took a nap.
