How do you react when people come to visit?

I love picnics. I didn’t partake on the mortal side. My Mom is not one to sit outside, having an aversion to dirt. But, my first week he...
I get very excited, rush to the door, and greet them. Then I demand attention for five to ten minutes before I settle down
ReplyDeleteCinnamon barks her head off until they come inside and then she too demands attention! Us cats...we mostly hide UTB!
ReplyDeleteMom says we have been so deprived of visitors due to Covid. We LOVE visitors. Lightning is a little nervous at first but he warms up with a little time. Misty and Timber think everyone who shows up owes them total and complete attention.

Benji wants all the attention...and gives kisses to anyone...Dalton is more timid...he hangs back, and would grump and maybe bite if approached too soon. He does best at coming when visitors do not pay him any attention, he will seek it out when he feels safe.
ReplyDeleteI'm super friendly and a good greeter, the other kitties run and hide!
ReplyDeleteda phenny is a happy camper... butt da nelly... like cujo by stephen king LOL
ReplyDeleteI tend to ignore them these days. But if anyone puts a handbag on the floor, I'm right there, poking my nose in, looking for tissues. (Which Gail thinks is bizarre.)
ReplyDeleteToodle pip!
Bertie.
I bark so that they will all sit down and give me treats.
ReplyDeleteWe like visitors but we haven't had lots in these weird times! But we like to get up on the couch with them when we have them!

At home we have two cats. One kinda hides and the other one greets everyone that comes in. Thanks for sharing this wonderful post. Have a great rest of your day.

I'll give you the reactions from all our pets:
ReplyDelete1. Toto the mighty mini dachshund was very welcoming to visitors; however, there was something about my Dad that made Toto roll over on his back and pee straight up in the air. We could never figure it out. My daddy was a huge animal lover and a big man 6'2" over 200 lb with a booming voice
2. Milky-way our first cat very rarely came out when we had visitors...the one time he did chose to come out he sashayed into the family room with my bra in his mouth.
3. Madi was always front an center wherever the action was.
She acted as if she were alone except every so often giving us a stink eye for making too much noise
Hugs cecilia
I bark a lot like I'm really fierce, then I hide.
ReplyDeleteWe all rush the door barking.
