Poetry Thurdsday

Here is this week's assigned photo

She met him in a bar

And it went too far

She brought him home and into bed

And now she wonders instead

If it was all a game,

Because she can't remember his name

He picked her up for a one night stand

Being with her was to beat the band

He woke up in the morning filled with blame

Because he couldn't even remember her name

Two lonely people meet in a bar

And they took it too far

And now the guilt they feel is the same

Because they can't remember one another's name

They parted and both promised to call

But that won't happen at all

It's not that either felt any shame

It was just they didn't know each other's name
