The Ruby Rose Report: A Dog Named Madge

A precious small Griffon lived with my first pack in Florida. She was a sweet soul who loved to snuggle. Her first mom, well known in the world of dog shows, kept certain dogs for breeding and others for performance, and if a dog didn't show an interest in either, they were sent to loving homes.

The little girl's name was Madge. She loved living in the big house with many Griffons and other dogs. There were plenty of people to take care of the pups. They always got food on time, attention, and training. Madge lived them all.

But, when her siblings were sleeping at night, Madge would jump on the couch and look to the north. She knew there was something for her in that direction, although she couldn't imagine what it could be.

Despite being in a big pack, Madge liked being solitary. His mom noticed that, and could tell she wouldn't like being used for breeding, so she tried her in the ring.

Madge wanted to please her mom, but she always lost concentration while in the ring, and her mom realized that was not the life for her either. It was time to find Madge a new home.

Madge reminded her mom of a dog like her, Zelle, who did not make it as a mom or show dog and went to a family up north. A day later, Zelle's dad told Madge's mom that the dog had passed. They agreed Madge would be a perfect fit in their family.

But, the parents from the north could not drive down to her Florida home to get her, so they arranged transport.

While Madge spoke to the angel, formerly Zelle, and knew she was going to a new home, she was still unsettled when the transport person removed her from the only home she knew.

The next day Madge went on a great adventure. She went by car to an airport, they flew inside a giant bird, to a second airport, then in the iron bird, until they landed again; she was carried to an escalator by the transport lady, while a man and woman waited at the bottom.

When they reached the bottom Madge was handed to her new parents, and suddenly she ceased to exist.

She was something new.

Something named Ruby Rose.
